With my long hair when i'm in a pinch i do the following:

part my hair on the side, put it in a pony tail (I have it looking a little messed up because of the part i hate no bump look on me) with it in a pony tail put it in a messy bun.

Oooh i just rememberd this one! with a hand full of boby pins. put it in a pony tail normal one or side and section of your hair with it in the pony tail. So for instance have 6 sections take each section and curl it with your fingers and bobby pin it with the ends sticking out. do this with all of it, and it looks so good i love it! theres the "hand-made" curls, and it still looks "edgy" because of the ends sticking out. oh' ya' i curl the ends to!

I had long hair and putting it in layres was the best thing i ever did. it makes your hair look bouncy, and it falls right into place every morning. just do a quick comb and put in a headband and your good for the day.
