You can buy semi-permanant hair dyes or clip-in hairpieces, but your hair sounds perfect the way it is. It is growing all the time so don't worry about it being too short. Why don't you go to the hairdresser and get it styled differently? If it is straight, you could get it curled, or if it is curly, get it straightened. If you are totally sure you want your hair dyed permanantly, your hairdresser can do this for you as well. Good luck.

for the person above me that said if a guy wears a hat all the time then that indicates lazyness... that is not completely true... i wear a hat (granted im a girl) all the time because i like the look of it... ill also style my hair in spikes alot because i have very short hair for a girl... im a skater chic (hince the title) so when im skateboarding it is better to leave my hair down or in a hat because if i style it i will be doing that for nothing... it all depends on what the guys oppinions are when it comes to hair... if they like to wear hats then thats fine... me personally.. i like it when a guy styles there hair because that (most of the time) means that they have a bit of creativity... but otheer than that.. if a guy wears hats all the time it doesnt nessisarily mean that they are lazy and dont manage their time well...

tomboy so i would so be Drastic...get a jennifer aniston cut...meaning gets some lays which give you volume...but dont trim your lenght longer is more beautiful....if your also into using colour....shapmoo colour your hair aswell go for a soft honey brown colour to give a softer look to yourself....and dont mix too much though cause if you got too much colour in your hair it ends up looking ugly and if your still not sure pick up some magazines and talk to a Hairstylist...she'll tell you what would look best,..:)

I agree that it may be curly. I used to comb my hair right after blow drying so I never knew until I cut it that it was curly. It was always poofy.

What I suggest is after washing, towel dry about half way, then take your towel and use that to scrunch your hair upwards, while squeezing the water out. When hair is wet it will curl better. Let it air dry.

The best thing would be to use a diffuser (a little bowl attachment for your hair dryer) and dry out the wet hair. This prevents the frizz that comes with towel drying.

Another option would be to straighten it with an iron. This really helps reduce the poofyness.

And if you want something kinda out there to do with your hair, take a thin strand of it from the top, start twisting it until it won't twist anymore and stay straight. Then with your other hand, hold the middle. Bring the end up to the roots and let go of the middle. It will twist into a loop. Looks really neat. I used to do it at six points around my head for a style. But I don't know if you'd want to wear it out in public.

If it's boring, why not get a cute cut? Straight, curly, wavy, spiky, whatever - it will be a nice change. I had hair to my waist for about 12 years. I had it cut to midway on my neck, (gave the hair to Lockes of Love), and had it spiked all over. It was great not to have to fuss with my hair all the time. Just wash, dry, gel. I had that for about 6 months and now it's grown to the point where I blow dry my bangs back and scrunch the rest. The point is, if you are bored with your hair, change it. If you don't like it, it will grow. Have fun with it!

i know exactly where ur comin from! i have brown hair to my shoulders , not exactly thin and not thick, but very wavy and POOFY!!! cause of the poofy its never boring more like horribly uncontrollable. and when u get an answer for our promblems email me pleeze!but i do have somethin that will make ur hair less poofy (still poofy but not as bad) i take my shower at night and i dont blow dry it , but while its still wet NOT DRIPPIN WET but wet , twist it into a bun and sleep on it . sounds crazy i know but i works at least it works for me. tonight i am tryin curlers to see if it tames my hair( knowin my luck i dont have a chance) eversince i've had this promblem ( which seems to have been forever) i've tryed tons of stuff, from shampoos , comditionars, differnet hair styes , and all kinds of crazy stuff. so i mean this from experience good luck and hopefully there is a cure for the hair us people have to live with.

the best thing for you is Pantene creme for frizz/curls.....it works like magic and you don't even need to put in gel after wards maybe just a little spray.

also try softsheen carson products...optimum oil therapy dry hair healer...the best product I have found so far...trust me I have extremely tight curls and all the frizz to go with it and these two products are my best hair friend.

I have hair just like that. Or I did until I went to a salon and they used gentle chemicals and permanently removed the frizz. It wasn't expensive at all. If you don't want to do that, try mousse. That always worked for me before.

Welcome to the club! It took me many years to figure out how to get my naturally frizzy/wavy hair to look halfway normal (though it wasn't quite so bad growing up in the 80's when big hair was in). The thing I've found best is keeping it long or medium long (the weight pulls it down) with a few layers in it (that thins it out). Then I gob on the conditioner in the shower %26amp; leave it on for several minutes before rinsing it out. Then after patting it with a towel I use a leave-in conditioner spray (Pantene "curl reviving") %26amp; comb it through. Then I spray a little Loreal Vive spray gel (also for curly hair) %26amp; let it air dry. It sounds like a lot, but really it only takes a couple minutes. And the spray-on products last quite a while so it's not like you're always buying stuff for your hair. Good luck, I feel your pain. But once you figure out what your hair needs, you'll love it!

i have the same problem my best advice(this worked for me)....

1.)Start using Panteen Sleek and Shiny shampoo and contioner(its like $4/ bottle...but ITS THE BEST!I wont use anything esle)

2.) Theres so frizz stuff by dove its like called intesive frizz leave in conditioning treatment or something along those lines and you put it on when you get done washing your hair and it like cuts down the frizz and volume.

3.) I would also invest in a straightener, I know it takes forever to straighten frizz hair but trust me its worth the time!

use leave in conditioner-i use lots of it and it does wonders for my hair infusium is a great brand

also dont blowdry its bad for your hair and it doesnt look as nice

if you wash the night before put leave in conditioner in and pull your hair into a clip or something and in the morning let it out shake a bit and fix it up using your hands and water if needed but dont brush

This is one of my everyday hairstyles that adds volume when i style it, and after!

You will need: Bobby or invisible pins. and a soft bristled brush.

You start with damp hair. Apply a leave in moisturizer or serum to keep your hair from damaging. Separate your bangs (if you have any) from your longer hair, and then brush in long strokes to the back of your head, so your part doesn't show. Gather the brushed hair in your palm. Twist the access hair in the back of your head, then push up a little to give it body. Take your bobby pins then and use them as invisible pins, (put then in regular way, then twist the other way and put it in) You will probably need to use less for very fine hair, more for thick hair. When your hair is dry, you can take the pouf out and your hair will be volumized, and it only took about 5 minutes! I hope i helped! PS: it's my first day of middle school too! Maybe add a big headband to it, all the celebs are doing it!

You could use a little bit of mousse *or as much as you need* and scrunch up your hair to make it nice and wavy but not too curly. Then with a small comb, take some hair from one side and comb it over to the other side so that you have a side part. Then take some hair around your left ear and some hair from around your right ear *just a little bit* and bring it up to the middle of your head. Use a small clip to hold the hair together. Put a little bit of hair on each shoulder so it's not all in the back.

If you have normal long hair here's what u do:

1) Take your a part of your hair in the front and hold it down with a clip

Well, do you know how to cornrow? You can cornrow/flat twist your hair at night and take it out in the morning so it can look somewhat crinkly! Also sometimes i just put one of those big elastic rubber bands (kind of like what the softball girls wear to get the hair out of their face) around the front edges, and that usually looks nice. You can also try to wear it up by pinning it simultaneously with bobby pins, I usually don't use any certain type of technique when i do this one and for the most part it always comes out looking nice!

If you want to wear hair gel don't put a lot it because your hair isn't supposed to be stiff. Just run it through your hair to keep the cow-licks or fly-aways down. Don't slick it down to your head. You want it to look natural.

I am a salon owner and a stylist, not because I am in the business but because i have seen first hand the outcomes when people decide to cut there own hair, I would strongly advise you against it, and you will end up paying a salon to put matter right believe me, hair is a female crowning glory why on earth would you want to try to cut it yourself, if funds are tight then look for salons that have model or training nights with a massive discount, and a 100% supervision

the answer is no don't cut it yourself you will mess it up and you will regret it, unless you just want a buzz cut then it is simple with the clippers or a crewcut etc, but for styling forget this idea please
