Short hair styles - straight / wavy / curly?

My hair is about 5 inches past my shoulders atm...but I love experimenting with it, so thinking bout cutting it alot shorter....but since I don't think I could pull off a cute pixie cut...can anyone find me pics of shorter hairstyles (above shoulders but long enough to put in a small ponytail) and still look feminine? thanks alot :)

Btw if the cut would look good if it was straight, curly or wavy that would be good, but mainly I wear it straight...and I have an oval face shape if that helps.

I have never had short hair before but I think that if I did have short hair, wavy hair sounds the nicest coz you don't want it to be too curly when it's already going to be short, but I think it also depends on the way you look too coz some hair styles suit some people and not others. Perhaps also ask friends their opinions too. =)

How about cutting your hair at the shoulder in length,%26amp; having it layered.(long layers0 That would be a good start,%26amp; then you can have it tweaked again the next cut,if you want to change it even more...LOL

I would just get a choppy bob..and forget about the ponytail thing...keep the front bangs down to the mouth and the rest choppy.I would also get a few lights on the front!
