Midlength hair - need styles.?

Like, if I'm ever to go out to a party or something? I'm going out drinking this weekend.

I've tried curling my hair, but it doesn't curl too well, the only thing I can do is straighten it, or put it up ..

.. and I have extensions, but they're getting a bit tatty now.

Hmmm.

Ideas, please?

if you really want to curl your hair buy the curling iron with the rings built in and wrap your hair around it but before you do it add a little bit of hairspray and it will be perfect. i have to do it too. or you can blow dry your hair and just curl the ends ( no hairspray) and then when you are done run your fingers through it and kind of loosen up the curls. it will look amazing.

try just curling the ends, or curling them under.

I know you said you hair is hard to curl, so maybe just doing the ends will help a bit. Also, a reason your hair might not curl is because the product you're using is weighing down. This is where volumizing products come in.

Create a side part and tease your hair in the back for a little volume. Volume looks great when you're going out. Get a volumizing mousse or hairspray as well.
